If you have not heard it yet, Ian Bernard, host of the syndicated radio show Free Talk Live has been sent to jail for 93 days over a couch. The video footage shows the first part of the exchange in the courtroom. The judge said be seated and the called Ian’s name. At the time Ian was in the process of sitting down and stopped when the judge called his name. Then the judge almost immediately began to yell at Ian to sit down and there was already an officer of the court on his way to the table where Ian was standing. Then he cuffed and moved to another courtroom. So 90 days for contempt of court and 3 days for a fucking couch! What farce, and I thought that New Hampshire was the supposed to the last bastion of liberalism in this country. See the courtroom video here.

Now it has also surfaced that individual who complained about the couch was a busybody city planner for the city of Keene.

All can say is that if this is justice then all of us are more trouble than I thought. I will try to keep up to date on this. Also you can find more info at 93days.com and jailedactivist.info.

UPDATE
According to freekeene.com Ian’s time for the contempt of court charges have been suspended and he has been released.
